A community-built guide to San Diego's most authentic beach town — made by locals, for everyone.
Visit Ocean Beach San Diego is an independent community guide covering everything worth knowing about Ocean Beach — San Diego's most laid-back and authentic beach neighborhood. From the best fish tacos on Newport Ave to the weekly Farmers Market, surf conditions at the pier break, and Dog Beach at golden hour, this is the guide we wish existed when we first arrived.
The site is entirely locally focused. Every restaurant, business, and event listed is in or immediately around zip code 92107. No national chains, no filler — just the real OB.
Only 92107. Every listing is walkable from the beach.
Every business is manually reviewed before it goes live.

Ocean Beach — OB to everyone who lives here — is a beachfront neighborhood in the western corner of San Diego, California. It sits at the mouth of the San Diego River and has been a gathering place for surfers, artists, and free spirits since the 1960s.
The neighborhood runs along Newport Avenue, a walkable strip of independent restaurants, antique shops, surf stores, breweries, and coffee shops. The concrete pier, built in 1966 and stretching 1,971 feet into the Pacific, is one of the longest concrete fishing piers on the West Coast. Dog Beach — one of the few off-leash beaches in San Diego — sits at the northern end near the river mouth and is open 24 hours.
