🌊 Ocean Beach Pier
Built in 1966 and once the longest concrete pier on the West Coast (1,971 ft). It has been closed to walkers since 2023 pending a full replacement, but it still defines the OB skyline and makes a dramatic photo from the sand.
🌅 Sunset Cliffs
The rugged sandstone bluffs of Sunset Cliffs Natural Park, just south of Ocean Beach along Point Loma — arguably the best sunset spot in San Diego.

OB's walkable main street — independent restaurants, antique stores, surf shops, murals and the Wednesday Farmers Market.
🥕 OB Farmers Market
Every Wednesday afternoon, Newport Avenue closes to cars for the Ocean Beach Farmers Market — produce, food vendors, crafts and live music.
🎪 OB Street Fair & Chili Cook-Off
Ocean Beach's biggest annual party — the OB Street Fair and Chili Cook-Off fills Newport Avenue with music, food, artists and tens of thousands of people every summer.
🏄 Surf
Ocean Beach is a true surf town, with beginner-friendly sandbars near Dog Beach and heavier reef breaks toward Sunset Cliffs.
🦭 Wildlife
Shorebirds, sea lions, pelicans and tide-pool creatures along the Ocean Beach and Point Loma coast.
🦀 Tide Pools
At low tide, the rocky shelves below Sunset Cliffs and Point Loma reveal anemones, crabs, snails and small fish.
🛹 Robb Field
Ocean Beach's big recreation area along the San Diego River — a skate park, athletic fields, tennis courts and a dog park.
🚲 Walk & Bike Trail
The bayside path along the San Diego River — a flat, scenic route for walking, running and biking at the edge of Ocean Beach.
🛺 Golf Carts
Decorated golf carts are a quirky, beloved part of the Ocean Beach street scene — a very OB way to get around the flat neighborhood.
