OB Drum Circle & Fire Dancing

A long-running OB tradition — drummers, dancers and fire spinners gather on the grass at Veterans Plaza on Wednesday evenings. Things pick up in the late afternoon and the fire dancing starts around sunset (roughly 6–9 PM, later in summer). Free, all welcome. Bring a drum, or just come watch the sunset.
Paws in Paradise: Día de los Muertos for Pets

It kicks off on Shop Small Saturday, Nov 28 (10 AM – 4 PM): spend $50+ in OB that day for a chance to win local prizes, and stop by Veterans Plaza for photos with the ENJOY OB letters. OBeachy Bingo (find the OB parrots at participating shops) and the Storefront Decorating Contest start the same day.

OB Holiday Parade

Ocean Beach’s annual holiday parade down Newport Avenue: floats, bands, local businesses and families. 2026 theme: Jingle Jungle Boogie! The OB holiday tree on the sand is traditionally lit just before the parade. Free; arrive early and park at Robb Field or the beach lots.
